Daniele Imani Nobar
Daniele Imani Nobar is a transdisciplinary artist born in Milan to an Italian mother and Iranian father. His work is deeply rooted in the themes of diaspora and its consequences, initially experienced through the physical distance from his origins and later extended into the global and digital sphere, where he explores how social and mass media shape our connection to place and identity. His practice revolves around movement, both spatial and temporal, with an emphasis on how these dimensions manifest in his work. Imani Nobar begins with found materials, which he processes, interprets, and connects through hybrid languages. He began his academic journey studying New Technologies of Art at the Academy of Urbino, before completing his degree in Multimedia Arts and Design at RUFA, where he concentrated on audiovisual media and their role in culture, history, and society. His work has been featured at prominent events like Dancity, Videocittà, Romaeuropa, and Dour Festival. Additionally, his video art has been exhibited at MOCDA, Re-humanism, and Centro Arti Visive Pescheria, where he received the Surprize award.
His debut film "The Zone" won the Critics' Choice Award at Milan Machinima Festival in 2025.
