LAM SO and AH KWAI gets into a funeral as they try to catch a grasshopper. Unintentionally, they push a corpse Tram the coffin. The dead man's relatives are angry and goes to LAM WAI, asking for compensation. WAI has to pay for the accident.
KWAI has been appointed to be SO's fiancee when he is young so as to take care of him. They have the feeling of mother and son but in fact they should be couples. When KWAI knows that WAI is going to get another wife for SO, she is not angry. Instead she is happy to have one to share the duty with her.
LAM BAI WING is a butcher and an orphan. I-le is always being cheated and Tram time to time, SO helps him and the social status forms no gap between them.
