When a wealthy benefactor dies before signing a $330,000 check intended for a long awaited new x-ray machine, Tom forges the man's signature on the check to give him his ""bit of immortality."" Marina breaks her vow of celibacy by sleeping with Dave and then moves in with Arch when she leaves her order.
