The staff at St Hugh's Hospital fall under suspicion when an elderly patient, Florence, has her house burgled with the keys that were in her bedside cabinet. Jim and Ramani trace it back to one of the nurses but a discrepancy in the amount of money that has been stolen makes them wonder whether Florence is really as innocent as her frail exterior might suggest. Terry arranges a rehabilitation programme for paedophile Ian Forrester but is unsettled by his progress. Eva begins to sympathise with Ian's situation and is convinced that he is desperate to control and conquer his desires. However, it is Terry's cynical outlook and cautious approach that proves to be most effective as it transpires that Ian has been getting a young girl to text him naked pictures of herself. Terry and Eva rescue Ian from a suicide attempt and are left wondering whether saving him will ultimately do more harm than good.
