Dreambert and Bedsmith, two creatures from the Pi'illo species, wake up with no memory of who they are or how they ended up in a strange house. A peculiar man named Wonky claims to be their father but offers no clear explanation. Soon after, a creature named Starlow, from the Star Sprite species, arrives and insists they were friends, though Dreambert and Bedsmith have no memory of her or their past. As the day unfolds, Starlow tries to jog their memories, but their confusion deepens, leading her to worry something is wrong. By the end of the day, they return to the house, still uncertain of their identities, and fall asleep, haunted by the mystery of their lost memories.
