It's Christopher Lowell - Season 1 Episode 10 The Natural Look
Through the exploration of natural materials, learn how to design a room with an outdoorsy look. Christopher visits a San Diego home filled with organic materials to show a variety of texture and design options. Back at the studio, he introduces the ""before"" bedroom he will makeover, then starts the redo by constructing a four poster canopy bed with pipes. Using a display of fabrics from Loose Ends and his design boards, Christopher illustrates his method for choosing fabrics while emphasizing the difference between texture and pattern. Next, he describes the process for building a window treatment with a foam and luan valance and the simple sewing technique for making fabric pipe sleeves and curtains for the canopy bed. Chef Nell Newman does a little organic cooking in the kitchen, whipping up an orange-chocolate angel food cake. Christopher then unveils the completed bedroom, pointing out how the different fabrics are used and his thinking behind the arrangement of various furniture
