Revolution 618 - Season 1 Episode 18 Prayer for the nation, Part 2
The Lord wants us to Marinate in his presence find out what his will is for our life and then releases his will to us. This happens when we walk in love and have fellowship with God.
James 4:2 “you lust and you do not have, you murder and covet and cannot obtain, you fight in war and yet you do not have because you don’t ask”. We need to check our motives and our hearts where we don’t war against the church. It is also important we don’t operate in lust and the desires of the flesh. The Bible says there are exceedingly precious promises that have been given to us by God and that by these promises we have become partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through Lust. Wanting what you don’t have and we have these desires. Instead the Lord wants to give us our desires and give up our will. When we give up our will we let go of that which is minimal and that which is insignificant and exchange it for what is great, powerful, mighty, and exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever ask or thing because God wants his will for us. Pastor Josh Jamison goes on to reference James 4:3 “You ask and you do not receive because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures adulterers and adulteresses do you not know that friendship toward the world is enmity with God. Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world wants to be an enemy with God.” This is a principle we need to understand. We want are heart to pursue God and to not pursue the things of this world. The Bible says that if you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness that all the things that the world seeks after will be added to you. We know God wants good things for us he just doesn’t want those things to have us (Controlling us) and have our hearts.
